Tourmaline Pink, Red And Gold

Tourmaline is a unique miracle of colour. This gemstone comes in virtually every colour known...from green, red, blue, yellow, orange, pink as well as colorless and black. Occasionally  two or more colors are found in a single tourmaline crystal (Watermelon or Bi-color Tourmaline). Also available are cat`s eye tourmalines. Having said all that, green is regarded as the classical tourmaline colour. If you ask a gemstone merchant about a Tourmaline, green, in most cases, is the first colour that comes to mind.

Pink Tourmaline

Pink Tourmaline is found in many shades from light pink to salmon pink to a deep intense color that is almost a red hue.  If the color is dark enough to have reached  a shade of red it is known as  `Rubellite`, the Latin name for red, and is considered to be the one of the rarer members of the tourmaline family with an increase in its value accordingly.

Relaxing and nurturing, Pink Tourmaline is sometimes associated with feminine energies. It vibrates a deep resonance with the heart chakra. It is said to have the potential to heal emotional wounds with its soft, soothing energy to bring feelings of comfort and safety.
